What are virtual field trips?"Explore" is an important part of who we are at Willamette Connections Academy. It is ingrained in who we are, and is part of our core values. If we can't get out and physically explore together right now, we can offer the next best thing to our students-- "virtual" field trips!
Over the next month, WillCA teachers will be hosting a variety of virtual field trips and events for students to attend-- from Japanese Art designs to backyard campouts, our teachers have so many fun things planned to finish the year strong! Virtual Field Trip and Event FAQs: 1) Students and Learning Coaches should identify the field trip(s) they would like to attend, and manually add the field trip date, time, and location to their planners. 2) Students can attend any field trip that they would like, even if it's being hosted by a teacher they do not have. Please refer back to this page for the specific teacher's Live Lesson link to attend the field trip. 3) At least 5 minutes prior to the start of the field trip, students should join the Live Lesson classroom of the field trip they would like to attend. Late arrivals will not be added. 4) Sign-ups are not required, and it's first-come, first-serve to the Live Lesson room for each virtual field trip, so plan to arrive early! 5) Virtual field trips will run between 30 minutes - 60 minutes. |
Virtual Field Trips and EventsMay and June will bring all kinds of fun virtual field trips and events! From Disney's California Adventure, to Kindergarten field day, students will be able to explore the world and have fun together from their very own homes!
